SBI has announced a total of 116 vacancies across three specialist posts. PwBD reservations are applicable as per the RPWD Act, 2016.

Eligibility and experience

Educational and post-qualification experience requirements vary by post; the requirements below apply as on 31 January 2026.

Assistant Vice President (IS Audit) and Deputy Manager (IS Audit)

The academic qualifications and preferred certifications for IS Audit positions are specified as follows.

  • Minimum educational qualification: BE/BTech/BSc (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics) with at least 50% marks; OR BCA/MCA; OR MTech/MSc in relevant fields.
  • Preferred professional certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, DISA, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GIAC.
  • Post-qualification experience: AVP (IS Audit) — 6 years total with at least 3 years in IS Audit/Cyber Security Audit; DM (IS Audit) — 3 years total with at least 2 years in IS Audit/Cyber Security Audit.

Deputy Manager (Chartered Accountant – Internal Audit)

The qualifications and experience for the CA internal audit role are set out below.

  • Educational qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) with active ICAI membership.
  • Preferred certifications: CISA, DISA.
  • Post-qualification experience: Minimum 1 year in bank audits.

Teaching or training experience will not be counted as qualifying experience.

Age limit and age relaxation

Age limits for each post are prescribed as on 31 January 2026, with standard relaxations for reserved categories.

  • Age limits: AVP — 27 to 45 years; DM (IS Audit) — 25 to 35 years; DM (CA – Internal Audit) — 21 to 35 years.
  • Age relaxation: SC/ST — 5 years; OBC (NCL) — 3 years; PwBD — up to 15 years (as per category).

Pay scale and probation

Remuneration details differ between contractual AVP and regular Deputy Manager positions.

  • AVP (IS Audit): Up to ₹50 Lakhs CTC (85% Fixed + 15% Variable).
  • Deputy Manager (Regular): Pay scale ₹64,820 – ₹93,960 plus applicable allowances.
  • Probation for regular posts: 1 year.

Selection process

Selection will be carried out through shortlisting and interview; there is no written examination for this recruitment.

  • Shortlisting based on eligibility and credentials.
  • Interview carrying 100 marks.
  • CTC negotiation for AVP (where applicable).
  • Document verification and medical examination for provisionally selected candidates.
  • Call letters will be issued via email only.

  • General / EWS / OBC: ₹750.
  • SC / ST / PwBD: Nil.
