Eligibility and educational qualifications

Eligibility varies by post; all qualifications must be from recognised institutions and final results declared on or before 30 November 2025. Candidates must also have Hindi and English typing knowledge where specified.

  • Computer Operator / Computer Operator (Sambida) / Society Manager (essential): Graduation from a recognised university plus a mandatory one-year computer diploma from a UGC-recognised university or equivalent (DOEACC diploma level, Modern Office Management Course from Government Polytechnic, COPA certificate from Government ITI) OR qualifications such as B.E. (CSE/IT), MCA, BCA, M.Sc. (IT/CS), B.Sc. (IT/CS), M.Tech./M.E. OR AICTE-approved Diploma in Computer Science/Applications/IT OR B.Sc./B.Com. degrees including a computer subject. Final result must be declared on or before 30.11.2025.
  • Desirable: Computer knowledge and typing skills in Hindi and English.
  • Experience (Computer Operator Sambida): Candidates with prior contract work in district banks (with Registrar approval) must have a minimum of five years’ experience in DCCBs.
  • Officer Grade (post-wise): Specific qualifications and required experience are prescribed per post, for example: Computer Programmer (Senior Management Grade-2) requires BE/B.Tech (CSE/IT) or equivalent plus two years’ programming experience; Financial Analyst requires relevant graduation/postgraduation/MBA/CA/ICWA with two years’ experience in RBI-licensed organisations; Branch Manager requires relevant graduation/postgraduation/MBA with one year’s experience in RBI-licensed institutions. Salary and service conditions

Pay scales vary by post and by respective DCCB. Salary components, probation and service tenure are specified in the notification.

  • Level-4 (7th CPC): Rs. 19,500–62,000 per month (applicable for most DCCBs)
  • Level-7 (7th CPC): Rs. 28,700–91,300 per month (applicable for Khargone DCCB)
  • 6th Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1,900 per month (applicable for specified DCCBs)
  • Probation period: 12 months (extendable up to 24 months); minimum service tenure: 5 years from date of appointment.

Age limit and relaxation

Age limits are calculated as on 30 November 2025 and vary by post. Relaxation provisions apply only to Madhya Pradesh state domicile candidates as specified.

  • Computer Operator and Society Manager: 18 to 35 years (maximum 40 years with relaxation). Eligible birth window: 01.12.1990 to 30.11.2007 (both inclusive).
  • Computer Operator (Sambida): 18 to 55 years.
  • Age relaxation for MP domicile candidates: Female candidates, SC/ST, OBC, existing bank/short-term credit cooperative employees of MP, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen/home guard are eligible for 5 years’ relaxation under specified conditions. Female candidates may club certain relaxations with SC/ST/OBC; maximum relaxation rules apply as noted in the notification.

Application fee structure (exclusive of 18% GST where applicable):

  • Clerk posts: SC/ST/PwBD — Rs. 650; General/OBC/EWS — Rs. 850.
  • Officer posts: SC/ST/PwBD — Rs. 800; General/OBC/EWS — Rs. 1,100.

Selection process and exam pattern

Selection is based on an online examination conducted by IBPS Mumbai, followed by merit list preparation, document verification, medical examination and final selection as applicable.

The online examination details and marking scheme are provided below.

  • Total questions: 200; Total marks: 200; Duration: 120 minutes.
  • Question paper: Objective multiple-choice with five alternatives, available in English and Hindi except for the English Language paper.
  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  • EWS (MP domicile) candidates receive 10% relaxation in cut-off marks.

Examination subject breakdown:

  • Computer Knowledge: 40 questions, 20 marks, 20 minutes.
  • Reasoning: 40 questions, 50 marks, 25 minutes.
  • English Language: 40 questions, 40 marks, 25 minutes.
  • General Awareness: 40 questions, 40 marks, 20 minutes.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 40 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes.

After the online exam, merit lists will be prepared based on total marks. Waiting lists may be prepared up to a minimum of 1% and maximum of 50% of total vacancies. Merit list validity is one year from result publication.

General instructions and exam-day particulars
