Trade-wise Eligibility Criteria

Agniveer (General Duty – GD)

The minimum academic requirement for Agniveer GD focuses on Class 10th/Matric certification with defined percentage criteria.

  • Qualification: Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject.
  • Grading system: Minimum ‘D’ grade (33–40%) in subjects and ‘C2’ grade or equivalent (45% aggregate).
  • LMV Driving License holders will be given preference for Driver roles.

Agniveer (Technical)

Technical posts accept candidates meeting any one of several prescribed educational pathways, including science, ITI or diploma qualifications.

  • 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English – 50% aggregate, 40% in each subject.
  • 10+2 (Science) + ITI (1 year) with NSQF Level 4 or above.
  • 10th pass with 50% aggregate, 40% in English, Maths & Science + 2 years ITI / 2–3 years Diploma (as notified).

Agniveer (Office Assistant / Store Keeper Technical – SKT)

Office Assistant / SKT posts require higher secondary certification with specified subject-wise minimums.

  • Qualification: 10+2 pass (Arts / Commerce / Science) with 60% aggregate and 50% in each subject.
  • Minimum 50% in English and Maths / Accounts / Book Keeping in Class 12.

Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Pass)

Tradesmen (10th pass) categories accept candidates with basic matriculation and subject-wise minima.

  • Qualification: Class 10th simple pass.
  • Minimum 33% in each subject; no aggregate percentage requirement.

Agniveer Tradesmen (8th Pass)

Tradesmen (8th pass) categories accept candidates with an eighth-grade qualification and minimum subject scores.

  • Qualification: Class 8th simple pass.
  • Minimum 33% in each subject; no aggregate percentage requirement.

Physical Standards

Minimum height and chest standards are prescribed region-wise and vary by trade; weight should be proportionate to height and age.

Note: 1 cm chest relaxation for Agniveer Technical in Central Region. Weight should be proportionate to height and age for all categories.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The PFT includes a 1.6 km run and pull-ups with time-based marks; some tests are qualifying in nature.

Mandatory qualifying tests: 9 Feet Ditch and Zig-Zag Balance (both to be qualified). Agniveer Technical & Office Assistant/SKT candidates only need to qualify in these tests; marks are not added for these categories.
