Central Bank of India (CBI) has invited offline applications for recruitment to 03 Counselor posts for Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs). Graduates meeting the specified experience and local residency requirements can apply by submitting the prescribed Annexure-A format to the Regional Office in Chhindwara on or before 21 February 2026; shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must satisfy educational, computer literacy and experience requirements as specified by the bank.

  • Educational qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Computer literacy: Proficient in basic MS Office, internet usage, and typing in the local language.
  • Experience/other: Preference to retired/VRS bank officials of Scale I & above of nationalised banks (including SBI & RRBs). Alternatively, ex-servicemen or other candidates (for example, government school teachers) with banking knowledge, financial services awareness and relevant IIBF certification are eligible.
  • Service record: Applicants should have an unblemished service record with a service certificate from the previous employer; experience as an officer/permanent employee of 10 years is expected for applicable candidates.
  • Local residency and language: Candidate should be resident of the same state, preferably the same or a nearby district, and possess excellent communication skills in the local language.

Salary and allowances

The contract remuneration structure is defined with reference to last pay and pension or a fixed monthly cap.

  • Remuneration: Equivalent to last pay and allowances drawn less the initial amount of pension fixed before commutation plus relief etc., or Rs. 25,000 per month, whichever is lower (applicable to pension co-opted retired bank officials of nationalised banks).
  • Non-pensioners: Eligible for Rs. 25,000 per month.
  • Additional amount: A lump sum of Rs. 1,000 per month will be paid towards mobile and conveyance.
  • Other benefits: No other allowances, benefits or reimbursement of expenses/charges will be admissible.

Age limit

Applicants must be above 45 years and less than 65 years of age and should possess good health.

Shortlisted and eligible applicants will be called for a personal interview; the bank’s decision will be final in the selection process.
